As adorable as they look, Shih Tzus are some of the most loyal and friendly dogs out there. They generally have a laid-back attitude and are perfectly fine with just lying down next to its owner for the entire day. While other dogs might require more of a workout, a Shih Tzu is a rather easy companion.
Getting a pet of this breed is not extremely expensive as the price for one ranges from $400 to $700. Despite all of the great characteristics, the only caveat would be that Shih Tzus require constant brushing. That said, it can be a great activity for the elderly owner!
